Overall I’d love to give Brent and the business a solid 5 stars, but despite the excellent and highly supportive customer service, I have to be very objective here as… read more there are some downfalls which need to be vastly improved upon. I’m effectively giving it 3.5 🌟 PROS: Technical support: Both Brent and Dave – esp. Brent, are by far the most knowledgeable when it comes to knowing the ins and outs of blaster operations and repairs. Most other shops claim to have experienced and ‘qualified’ (no such thing in this industry) ‘technicians’ – but for the most part, they don’t possess the fine technical skills, knowledge and tools to effect repairs beyond replacing parts. Brent has demonstrated to go beyond that and even actually fix or troubleshoot issues that most will just write off in the too hard basket bin. Service and support: Again customer service by far the most wholesome element experienced here. There is a very genuine sense of sincerity, honesty and benevolence when it comes to providing assistance to all the customers here. CONS: Over generosity: Whilst providing excellent customer service is one aspect, being overly generous is detrimental to not only yourself financially as a business owner, but also the customers themselves. This also leads the door very open to potential exploitation by customers who expect a discount or even a freebie everytime they purchase something. Administration: I have noticed a rather distinct lack of accountability when it comes to records keeping – esp receipts, invoices etc. Even based on my own experience, there have been a number of times when purchasing items that there is no consistent record/log of purchases made (esp laybys). Simply relying on memory is not acceptable, and can not only cause confusion and misunderstanding when it comes to settling financial transactions, but also seriously affect profit and loss on the business end. Housekeeping & Security: The shop can do with regular cleaning and organising, as often there are things like gel balls strewn all over the floor, items/parts haphazardly mixed in with others and even cash left open on the counter – open invitation to theft. Also, just allowing anybody to come behind the counter and help themselves (or anywhere in staff designated areas) opens the door to potential theft and or misuse/abuse. Most importantly, may I suggest it’s not a good idea to be smoking in or even very close by the shop, as it’s not only off-putting to non smokers, but also illegal! Final remarks: I hope this sheds light on everything, as difficult as it was to highlight. This was not written out of malice or spite, but mostly in a genuine constructive way to hopefully be taken on board and used to help improve the overall business performance and experience for its customers and staff.
